LOCAL REVIEW BOARD
regular meeting
Minutes March 13, 1995

1. Public discussion-none.
Minutes of February 13, 1995 meeting approved.
Janet Rock, Mainstreet Executive Director introduced to board members.
4. New business-none.
Old Business
a. Building Materials prescribed for Old Town. Staff advised that
guidance/permission from Council would be requested at March 28, 1995,
council meeting. The items to be considered for update/change are signs,
outdoor vending carts, fences(no chain link) building size and height
limitation, public parking, public trash containers, public pest~ooms,
building materials~ boundary modification(hillside behind Pujol St.) light
standards, addition of buildings to historical designation, and use matrix.
Craig explained that some questions had arisen concerning each item as
listed in the Specific Plan and that this revision should cover the next
year or two.

Staff approvals
a. Bank Building addition.. Craig explained that the Bank of Mexican food had
applied for permission to install a garden dining roo~ on the west side
of the Bank Building(northwest corner Front and Main Sts.)
Board discussion.
a. Board discussed Main St. bridge replacement; primarily which agency would
be responsible to fund improvement cost.
b. Larry Markham requested a status summary of projects, in some state of
progress, that will affect Old To~n. This report would bring the board
up to speed and enable the members to support the City when questioned
about progress on public implementation of the Specific Plan.
c. Bob Lord asked if a permit had been granted fop the removal of the
dilapidated house on the northeast corner of Main and Mercedes Sts. Craig
said he would look into it and report next month.
8. Meeting adjourned 9:45 AM.-no walk through Old Town.
