DIRECTOR OF PLANNING
August 29, 2002
A regular meeting of the City of Temecula Director of Planning was called to order on Thursday,
August 29, 2002, at 1:30 PM, at the City of Temecula Main Conference Room, 43200 Business
Park Drive, Temecula, California,. Principal Planner, Don Hazen presiding.
Aisc pres&nt was Assistant Engineer, Mayra De La Torre, Assistant Engineer, Chris White,
Associate Planner, Matthew Harris, Assistant Planner, Rolfe Preisendanz, and Minute Clerk,
Kelly Mclntyre.
Principal Planner, Don Hazen called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM.
Item No. 1:
Planninq Application No. PA02-0395, A Minor Conditional Use Permit to operate
an automobile electronic accessory sales and installation business located in
Suite A-3, Buildin.q A, 41125 Winchester Road; Submitted by Al + Ed's
Autosound.
Assistant Planner Rolfe Preisendanz presented the staff report. Principal Planner Don Hazen
opened the public hearing at 1:32 PM. The applicant, Mr. Kevin Mitchell, 39755 Primrose
Circle, Murrieta, CA, agreed to the Conditions of Approval. Principal Planner Don Hazen closed
the public hearing at 1:33 PM, and approved PA 02-0395 subject to the conditions of approval.
Item No. 2:
Planninq Application No. PA01-0553, request to subdivide approximately 81.3
acres of undeveloped land into 14 retail/commercial lots totaling 13.35 acres and
three remainder parcels.
Associate Planner Matthew Harris presented the staff report. Principal Planner Dave Hogan
opened the public hearing at 1:35 PM. The applicant, Mr. Larry Markham, representing
Rainbow Canyon Development, 41635 Enterprise Circle, Suite B, Temecula, CA, agreed to the
Conditions of Approval. Principal Planner Don Hazen closed the public hearing at 1:37 PM.
Principal Planner Don Hazen approved PA01-0553 subject to the conditions of approval as
drafted and the mitigations in the Mitigation Monitoring Plan, and adjourned the meeting at 1:38
PM.
