DIRECTOR OF PLANNING
April 4, 2002
A regular meeting of the City of Temecula Director of Planning was called to order on Thursday,
April 4, 2002 at 1:30 PM, at the City of Temecula Main Conference Room, 43200 Business Park
Drive, Temecula, California. Senior Planner, Don Hazen presiding.
Also present was Assistant Engineer, Mayra De La Torre and Minute Clerk, Lesa Riddle
Senior Planner, Don Hazen called the meeting to order at 1:33 PM.
Item No. 1: Planninq Application No. PA02-0121 (Minor Conditional Use Permit) Health Zone
Natural Foods request for approval for off-site sales of beer and wine
Project Planner Michael McCoy presented the staff report. Senior Planner Don Hazen opened
the public hearing at 1:39 PM. The applicant, Ms. Linda Brewer, 40300 Calle Torcida,
Temecula, CA, agreed to the conditions of approval, but wanted to make a correction to the staff
report. The type of license should be a # 20 (an off site beer and wine sales), not # 41 (on-site
sales of beer and wine). Senior Planner Don Hazen closed the public hearing at 1:40 PM.
Senior Planner Don Hazen approved PA02-0121 subject to the conditions of approval, including
the corrections to the staff report.
Item No. 2:
Planninci Application No. PA02-0028 (Minor Conditional Use Permit) A minor
conditional use permit to operate church services in an existina buildinq located
at 27821 Old Town Front Street; submitted by Southwest Revival Center.
Project Planner, Rick Rush presented the staff report. Senior Planner, Don Hazen opened the
public hearing at 1:43 PM. The applicant, Mr. Derek Thomas, 41802 Corte Lara, Temecula, CA,
agreed to the conditions of approval. Senior Planner Don Hazen closed the public hearing at
1:44PM.
Senior Planner Don Hazen approved PA02-0028 subject to the conditions of approval.
