How the carts will work: • Standard service: 4,4� One grey (or) blue 64-gallon recycling °ps4 cRsm .4 � 0261 cart, one green 64-gallon organics cart, goo 0210 and one black 64-gallon waste cart. • All organics, yard waste and food scraps, can now be discarded in your green cart! Grey or Blue On Collection Day Residence • Your current service day or service methodology will not change. • Carts should be placed at curbside no later than 6:00 a.m. with the handles and wheels facing towards your home, • Please place carts side-by-side approximately I I I 1 STREET 1 1 STREET 1 !STREET 1 2-feet apart and at least 3-feet from any obstruction (i.e. parked cars, trees, etc.) The recyclables will be processed at CR&R's Material -- Recovery Facility (MRF). The recyclables are separated utilizing ' a process of manual and mechanical sorting. These combined processes ensure that the maximum amount of recyclables are recovered from the waste stream and kept out of the landfill. The materials from your green organics container will be transported to CR&R's new Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Facility in Perris, Ca. The facility will convert all of your organic waste (yard and food scraps) into renewable natural gas to fuel our collection fleet and a high quality fertilizer. This program will keep all of your city's organic waste out of the landfill. Please collect food scraps in your CR&R provided pail and then empty the contents into your Green Organics Cart for curbside collection. We also recommend lining your kitchen pail with newspaper and/or brown paper bags. Please do not lfr L : - use plastic bags. Sprinkling baking soda in your food scrap pail will help with odor control. Your pail is aerated in order to minimize odors.
