OLD TOWN TEMECULA
HISTORICAL PRESERVATION DISTRICT
LOCAL REVIEW BOARD
Regular Meeting
Members Present: Larry Markham, Tony Terich, Walt Allen,
and Bill Harker
City Staff: Mathew Fagan
The meeting was called to order by Mathew Fagan at 9:00 a.m.
in the Board Room of the Community Center, 28816 Pujol Street
There were no public comments.
1. Minutes of the November 8, 1993 meeting were approved
with Allen abstaining.
2. No projects were submitted for Board review.

3. Fagan gave a status report in which he told of the first
Sam Hicks Park master plan committee meeting held Dec. 12
during which time types of uses and needed facilities
were discussed. He said the Alhambra Group is providing
the pr6ject management service and possible amenities
will include construction of a new museum building a
small homesteaders cabin, and refurbishing the church for
wedding chapel. .
4. Markham reported the City is still working on temporary
signs and a method of tagging them indicating permits
have been taken out. He said the enforcement officer
needs more City Council support in enforcing the new sign
ordinance.
5. Fagan reported that the Old Town Specific Plan will be
going before the City Council on January 11th or 25th.
6. Markham brought up the subject of news stands and said we
should be thinking of some way to camouflage them.
7. Harker was requested to check with Dave Hogan to find out
what has been done to include Pujol Street in the Old
Town Historic Preservation District in response to the
letter Harker previously sent to Hogan.
There being no further business nor need for a walking tour
of Old Town, the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
