OLD TOWN TEMECULA
HISTORICAL PRESERVATION DISTRICT
LOCAL REVIEW BOARD
Special Meeting
January 22, 1993
Purpose of this meeting was to review the Proposed Specific
Plan for Old Town and to record suggested changes the Board
would like to see incorporated and to mark up the draft copy
indicating such changes.
Present: Larry Markham, Walt Allen, Tony Terich, Bob Morris,
Bill Harker, and from the City of Temecula, Mathew
Fagan.
The page by page review began at 9:00 a.m. and the following
documents the recommended changes..
Pg. III-4 d. Provide conditional small professional offices
in TSO.
Pg. III-7 8. Need criteria for making decisions and provide
an appeal process in cases of disagreement.
Pg. 1II-8 13. Same concern as 8. above. Should read
"architecturally integrated."
15. b. Need clarification on what is intended and
where applicable or obtrusive.
Pg. III-13 Matrix - Delete putting barber shops on 2nd .floor.
Pg. III-16 Matrix - Motels and Hotels should be conditional.
Pg. III-17 Matrix - Allow locksmiths on 2nd floor and allow
newspaper office in TSO
Pg. III-18 Matrix - Eliminate parking lots and garages fro
TSO. Add real estate office to TSO P3.
Pg, III-20 Matrix - Add taxidermist and add vetenarian to
TSO.
Pg. III-21 Matrix - Delete parking from TSO.
Pg. III-45 b. Change to read "removal of a specimen tree
with a 6" or greater trunk diameter."
Pg. III-50 - Need provisions for free standing pole signs in
TRC.
Pg. III-52 f. Eliminate ground floor only.
Meeting was adjourned to 11:30 a.m. on Jan 25, 1993 to finish
review.
