HomeMy WebLinkAbout110904 TCSD Minutes I I I MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE TEMECULA COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT NOVEMBER 9, 2004 A regular meeting of the City of Temecula Community Services District was called to order at 7:32 P.M., at the City Council Chambers, 43200 Business Park Drive, Temecula, California. ROLL CALL PRESENT: DIRECTORS: Comerchero, Naggar, Stone, and Washington 4 ABSENT: DIRECTORS: Roberts Also present were General Manager Nelson, City Attorney Thorson, and City Clerk Jones. PUBLIC COMMENTS No comments. CONSENT CALENDAR Minutes RECOMMENDATION: 1.1 Approve the minutes of October 26, 2004. 2 Approval of the Plans and Specifications and Authorization to Solicit Construction Bids for Project No. PW04-15CSD - Erie Stanley Gardner Exhibit RECOMMENDATION: 2.1 Approve the construction plans and specifications and authorize the Departrnent of Public Works to solicit construction bids for Project No. PW04-15CSD - Erie Stanley Gardner Exhibit. MOTION: Director Naggar moved to approve Consent Calendar Item Nos. 1 -2. The motion was seconded by Director Comerchero and electronic vote reflected approval with the exception of Director Roberts who was absent. . DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY SERVICES REPORT No additional comments. GENERAL MANAGER'S REPORT Cornrnending the Community Services and Public Works Departrnents for its efforts associated with the completion of the Veterans' Memorial, General Manager Nelson invited the public to the dedication ceremony at the Duck Pond on Thursday, November, 11, 2004, at 2:00 P.M. Mr. R:\Minutes.csd\110904 I Nelson also apprised the public of another upcoming dedication ceremony at the Duck Pond on Friday, November 19, 2004, for the Japanese Friendship Garden. BOARD OF DIRECTORS' REPORTS President Washington echoed his appreciation and gratitude to staff for the hard work associated with the cornpletion of the Veterans' Memorial and as well extended his gratitude to Mr. David Micheal for his volunteer efforts. Director Comerchero commented on the 16 letters of actuai letters written by veterans displayed at the memorial and encouraged the public to take the tirne to read these touching letters.
