COMMITTEE BUSINESS
1. Discussion of Military Programming for the Month of November 2025 — Staff presented on
upcoming military programming including the Veterans Pinning Ceremony, the Patriotic Salute
to Veterans Expo, the Veterans Appreciation Breakfast, and the MilVet Donation Box
Campaign. Subcommittee was supportive of the programming and events.
2. Discussion of 251St Annual United States Marine Corps Birthday Ball (at the Request of MPT
Alexander) — Mayor Pro Tern Alexander gave an update on the status of the November 2026
event: 251' Annual United States Marine Corps Birthday Ball for the Combat Logistics
Battalion 5 (CLBS) unit out of Camp Pendleton including planning and logistics being led by
the nonprofit organization Cookouts and Comradery with many other organizations and
community members excited to help. Subcommittee was supportive of the event and looks
forward to future updates as the planning continues.
