SUBCOMMITTEE BUSINESS
1. Rancho California Road Median Monuments—Staff presented the proposed design for stone
monuments to be installed along Rancho California Road. The proposed designs are intended
to align with the existing monuments on Winchester Road that feature a colored City seal, and
on Temecula Parkway that feature a bronze/black City seal. These proposed designs will also
complement the County's upcoming Wine Country Gateway Arch project on Rancho
California Road leading into Wine Country. The subcommittee was supportive and
recommended that staff move forward with installing the stone monuments with the colored
City seal design. Additionally, they recommended that staff research potential decorative
elements surrounding the monument to enhance the design.
