COMMITTEE BUSINESS
1. Holiday Event Proposal by Old Town Temecula Association — The Old Town Temecula
Association shared a proposal for holiday programming in Old Town Temecula entitled"A Very
Temecula Christmas" envisioning A Hallmark Holiday Weekend including various aspects like
Santa visits, trolley rides, carolers, and more on December 11 - 14, 2025. This would be a
collaboration with the Old Town Temecula Association, Visit Temecula Valley, Wine Growers
Association, and Community Services Department. Subcommittee was supportive of the idea
and requested to come back with an updated report once details are drilled down.
2. Review Updated Sponsorship Policy — Staff shared the updated City of Temecula Corporate
Sponsorship Program policy and the drafted version of the new Sponsorship Guide for
2025/2026. Subcommittee was supportive of the updated policy and drafted guide and requested
staff to bring back the Sponsorship Policy to the full City Council for final approval.
3. 2026 Summer Concerts & Market Plan Update — Staff shared an update on the direction of the
2026 Summer Concerts and Market including the Request for Proposal (RFP) process if an
outside vendor would continue to run the Markets. Subcommittee requested staff bring back this
item to the full City Council for direction to move forward with the RFP process or to take the
Market in-house.
4. Discussion of Refreshed Veterans Day Expo Event — Staff proposed to refresh the Patriotic
Salute to Veterans event removing the concert and replacing it with an expo that would include
food, music, and vendor booths. Subcommittee was supportive of the refreshed event and
requested to have a BBQ style food option where council members grill, and booths would be
either veteran-owned businesses or veteran specific resources. This item will be brought back to
the full City Council for approval.
5. Discussion of New Year's Eve Grape Drop Event— Staff shared an update on the New Year's
Eve Grape Drop event requesting direction on the drone show staging location and to add an
animated grape drop component into the drone show. Subcommittee requested staff to look into
additional staging locations with the vendor and was supportive of the animated grape drop
included in the drone show. This item will be brought back to the full City Council for approval.
