A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMECULA DISBANDING THE COMMUNITY
SERVICES COMMISSION, RACE, EQUITY, DIVERSITY
AND INCLUSION COMMISSION, AND TRAFFIC SAFETY
COMMISSION EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 31,2025
WHEREAS, on January 28, 2025, the City Council provided unanimous direction for a
wholesale review of the City's boards, committees, and commissions which were established at
different times and for various purposes over the City's 35-year history; and
WHEREAS, on April 22, 2025, the City Council evaluated a variety of matters related to
boards, committees, and commissions, including their purpose and jurisdiction, selection and
recruitment process,joint meetings, demographics, and the current day needs of the community;
and
WHEREAS, on April 22, 2025, the City Council provided direction to disband the
Community Services Commission,Race,Equity,Diversity and Inclusion Commission,and Traffic
Safety Commission effective December 31, 2025.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMECULA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Effective December 31, 2025, the Community Services Commission, Race,
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Commission, and Traffic Safety Commission are hereby
disbanded.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this resolution.
